Recent Studies Show – Country / Rock Version
Recent Studies Show (Country/Rock Version) Think for yourself. Question everything. This track dives into the nonstop noise we’re all surrounded by—media, politics, advertising, “experts,” and social pressure—all competing to shape how you think, what you buy, and who you trust. From health and money to culture and elections, the message is constant: do this, believe that, pick a side. But what happens when you step back and start asking your own questions? This song challenges the narratives, calls out manipulation, and pushes one simple idea: critical thinking matters.
Recent Studies Show
Constant battles being fought
Who’s massaging your thoughts?
Truth, half-truths and lies
Your mindset is the prize
You’re attacked from all directions
Health, finance, and elections
Your money, time and vision
Who’s coloring your decisions?
Must everything be so political
Why’s it so rare to think critical?
Ya gotta do this, ya gotta do that
You’re gonna get sick, you’re gonna get fat
Invest with us, not with them
That’s a flop, buy this gem
You must like these, you can’t like those
Listen to this, wear these clothes
That side, you must condemn
Vote for us, not for them
Hear me out, trust me bro
Must be true, recent studies show
Academia, widely cherished
You should know – Publish or Perish
Take these, it’s safe and effective
Says who, what’s their objective?
Trust the science, this is key
But even these experts disagree
Must everything be so political
Why’s it so rare to think critical?
Ya gotta do this, ya gotta do that
You’re gonna get sick, you’re gonna get fat
Invest with us, not with them
That’s a flop, buy this gem
You must like these, you can’t like those
Listen to this, wear these clothes
That side, you must condemn
Vote for us, not for them
Yeah, there’s correlation
But does it mean causation?
News confirmed, your teacher taught
Your tribe says so, echoes your thought
Another’s version, you accept and devour
Did you follow the money, status, and power?
Seek the truth be mentally strong
Can you admit when you’re wrong?
Must everything be so political
Why’s it so rare to think critical?
Ya gotta do this, ya gotta do that
You’re gonna get sick, you’re gonna get fat
Invest with us, not with them
That’s a flop, buy this gem
You must like these, you can’t like those
Listen to this, wear these clothes
That side, you must condemn
Vote for us, not for them
Ya gotta do this, ya gotta do that
You’re gonna get sick, you’re gonna get fat
